Prototype Development

The planning and preparation that goes into the design of a prototype can become a lot more than most might assume. To help customers avoid spending too much time and money on prototyping we focus on clearly laying out all the steps that will be required for the manufacture of individual parts, assembly and testing. Many jobs can require more than a dozen operations with multiple high tolerances (+/- 0.001") before the part is complete. To avoid a loss on time invested when something goes wrong on the last step, our design engineers invest more time in planning and providing a 'virtual execution' before we commit to a fabrication.

Mithra Technologies is a unique machining facility in that we employ Ph.D. scientists and engineers who will help you translate the new experimental concept you want to pursue into CAD drawings, execution plans, automation and data acquisition software and event software for data analysis. Bring us a 'back-of-the-envelope' sketch and we can advice on manufacturability and material selection considering the total assembly functionality, tolerances, draft angles and undercuts.
